zodiac gems
birthstones are gems believed to accompany and protect those born under
the various signs of the zodiac or during the various months. the wearing
a birthstone is supposed to bring people good luck and protect them. traditionally
various gems were associated with with each sign of the zodiac based on
a color system. the colour was supposed to focus the power attributed
to the stone.
